BOSSIER CITY – Memorial services for Craig N. Hardy, will be 6 p.m. Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel, Bossier City, LA. Visitation will be prior to the service on Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the church.
Craig was born November 4,1956 in Toledo, OH to Will and Frances Norris Hardy and died December 13, 2013 in Shreveport, LA.
His parents, Grandmother Mae Norris and Aunt Anne preceded him in death.
Craig is survived by his wife of 18 years Diane Hardy of Bossier City, LA; uncle Stephen Norris of Dubach, LA; sisters-in-laws and brother-in-laws Nancy and David Cornelius of St. Louis, MO, Margaret and Bill Best of Lafayette, LA, and Mary Adams of Baton Rouge, LA. He is also
Survived by a nephew Will Best and nieces Rachel Best and Holly, and a grand-nephew Drew Grider.
Following his retirement from the Caddo Parish Schools as a band director he became a music teacher in the Bossier Parish School where he taught gifted and talented students. He was very highly thought of by his many band students. Craig was an excellent music teacher and was very influential in the lives of his students. He had great relationships with his students and helped them to excel not only in music but also in their lives. He was thought very highly of by the students, was loved and will be missed.
Craig was a member of the Masons, and the PCA. He was a former member of the Bill Causey Band and played in various other bands. Craig was active in showing his dogs in the AKC shows.
