Cross Point Baptist Church hosting yard sale to benefit Guatemala Mission

Cross Point Baptist Church is hosting its annual yard sale Saturday, April 2, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. at their church, located at 3140 Swan Lake Road in Bossier City.

This yard sale will benefit the church’s annual Guatemala Mission. Each year, Cross Point sends church members to Guatemala to build houses in the most impoverished areas, bring care boxes to children and families, and participate in a week-long Bible study for local children. The funds raised from this yard sale go directly to the building materials needed to build the houses.

“Being in a place like Guatemala, worshipping Jesus and being the hands and feet of God with people who speak a completely different language than I do proves how God can work through anyone, anywhere, any culture, language, or age group,” said Linda May, church coordinator of the church’s Guatemala Mission.

Yard sale items will include furniture, home décor, electronics, clothing, a bake sale, and more.

The church is located on Swan Lake Road between Airline Drive and I-220. This event is open to the community.
