The Bossier/Webster District Attorney’s Office presented a check Friday to the Bossier Sheriff’s Office in the amount of $40,389.47 as part of an asset forfeiture allocation in multiple drug and other investigations.

District Attorney Schuyler Marvin gave the monies to Bossier Sheriff Julian Whittington, funds which represent vehicles, other property, monies and bank accounts that were seized in 17 different drug cases.

“Our team of narcotics agents and patrol deputies does an outstanding job in fighting illegal drug use and the manufacturing and distribution of those drugs,” said Sheriff Whittington.  “Combining our efforts with Chief McWilliams and Bossier City Police to form the Bossier Combined Narcotics Task Force in 2012 has played a significant role in our success in combatting illegal drug use all throughout Bossier Parish.”
