BOSSIER CITY – Mr. Daniel F. Long, 72, passed away on Friday, January 10, 2014, at home after a brief illness. Columbarium inurnment services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 15, 2014, at the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, Keithville, Louisiana, with Chaplain Steve Casey, officiating. Full Military Rites will be provided by Barksdale Air Force Base Honor Guard.

Mr. Daniel F. Long was a native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and a resident of Bossier City, Louisiana, for 35 years. He served in the United States Air Force for 20 years, earning 21 military decorations before assuming the role of Vice President of Human Resources at Evergreen Presbyterian Church Life Services for 27 years. He retired in early 2009.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Brigitte Charlotte Long, and two sons, Christian Alfred Long and Scott Alan Long.
