Darlene Kirkland Bennish

BOSSIER CITY – Mrs. Bennish was born on July 18, 1928 in Stanton, Nebraska to Erna and Richard Kirkland. She passed away peacefully with her family around her in Bossier City, Louisiana on April 9, 2014 at the age of 85. She married her first love, Randal Bennish of Pilger, Nebraska on December 29, 1945 and they spent 61 love filled years together.

Mrs. Bennish was preceded in death by her husband, Randal; her son, Michael; son-in-law, James Zepp; one sister and one brother. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Deborah Zepp of Bossier City; four grandchildren, David Bennish and wife Holly of Carl Junction, MO, Scott Irelan and wife Susie of Stonewall, LA, Kristi Patten and husband Mark of Bossier City, and Tami Ardoin of Summerville, S.C. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Mrs. Bennish will be laid to rest in Carl Junction, MO next to her husband and son.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Donna Williams and Marsha Robinson of Gamble Hospice for all the love, care and compassion shown to Darlene and her family during her illness. She loved you both and couldn’t have made it through this without the two of you.
