The Shreveport Alumnae chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, is proud to mentor 29 high school seniors representing Bossier and Caddo Parish Schools.
The 2015 Delta Debutantes’ Signature Season has focused on giving back to others and providing a hand up to the less fortunate.
The Debutantes have completed five community service projects that supported and raised awareness in their communities: Homeless Food Program (Debutantes served meals and donated food items), Childhood Obesity Walk (Debutantes raised awareness in collaboration with other agencies to increase healthy life styles and menus), Magnolia Manor Nursing Home (Debutantes visited and donated socks and Christmas cards to the elderly), additionally they participated in a can food drive campaign to support the Northwest Louisiana Food Bank.
They recently donated $200 that will allow children at elementary schools to participate in the Food Bank Backpack Program for one year. Photo left to right are the 29 Delta Debutantes.
