Christmas came just a little bit early for some boys and girls Tuesday morning when deputies, Posse members and Santa delivered toys as part of Operation Santa Claus.
The special Christmas delivery was made to 167 children throughout Bossier Parish to help provide presents to children who might not otherwise have Christmas gifts.
The Bossier Sheriff’s Office teams with the Shreveport Police and Fire Departments and Townsquare Media for Operation Santa Claus, which provides about 1,000 Christmas presents to disadvantaged children in Bossier and Caddo Parishes. Organizations, schools, individuals and businesses are also big partners with the program by donating toys and monies to ensure no child goes without a present at Christmastime.
Operation Santa Claus has been meeting the need of Christmas presents to boys and girls in our area since 1984.
