A Bossier Sheriff’s Office deputy allegedly caught a burglar in the act while the criminal was stealing from the storage building of a south Bossier convenience store in the early morning hours Saturday.

Adrian YerbyThe arrest occurred after the observant deputy noticed a suspicious vehicle parked next to Sligo Country Store on Sligo Road around 3:30 a.m. Saturday.  When he approached the vehicle, he found Yerby carrying a trash can.  Yerby told the deputy he was taking the trash can because he didn’t think the store needed it.  When the deputy looked inside the trash can, he found a leaf blower, to which Yerby admitted to taking from the nearby storage building.

When the deputy searched Yerby’s vehicle, he found Klonopin pills inside a bottle that didn’t have a readable name on it.

Yerby was transported to the Bossier Maximum Security Facility for booking on the two charges; his bond is set at $35,000.
