BOSSIER CITY – A Celebration of Life service will be held for Dewey Williams on Thursday, August 29, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel. Rev. John Haigler, Simple Church, will be officiating the service. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home.

Dewey was a member of Simple Church in Bossier City, LA. He also served as President of the Chamber of Commerce in Springhill, LA; member of the Lions Club in Springhill, LA; and also served as President of the Spar Center in Sarepta, LA. Dewey was a self-employed businessman until he retired.

He is preceded in death by his dad, Dewey Nelson Williams of Emerson, AR, mother, Annie Mae Bigelow Williams of Emerson, AR and brother, Sherwin Williams of Arkadelphia, AR.

Dewey is survived by his wife, Glenda Ann Williams of Bossier City, LA; son, Kenneth Reese Williams and wife Melissa of Birmingham, AL; two grandchildren, Megan Elaine Williams of Las Vegas, NV, and Leslie Rose Williams of Birmingham, AL; three great grandchildren, Paisley Raine Williams, Hunter Benton Orr and Macy Lane Orr; one daughter, Dionne Williams Trichell and husband Ricky of Bossier City, LA. He is also survived by two sisters, Idell Simms of Shongaloo, LA and Peggy Maloch and husband Elwin Maloch of Emerson, AR; sister-in-law, Wanda Williams of Arkadelphia, AR and a host of nieces, nephews and he will be greatly missed by Velma, his three legged dog.

Honoring Dewey as pallbearers will be: Terry Beard, Jackie Whitehead, Bill Stevens, Scott Ledbetter, Wade Allen and Stephen Haehn.
