DiamondJacks celebrates Mother’s Day with free lunch for Providence House residents

In honor of Mother’s Day, DiamondJacks Casino & Hotel will support the Providence House of Shreveport with a free lunch for their resident moms at Legends Buffet on Saturday, May 12 at 11 a.m.

DiamondJacks is proud to support and host 27 residents with the free meal. Providence House Operations Manager, Michael Stubbs will also be in attendance at the luncheon. DiamondJacks General Manger Paul Hutchens stated, “It is our honor and privilege to host such a worthy cause and support these extraordinary mothers at Providence House on their journey to establish a quality life for their families within the Shreveport/Bossier community. It is our hope that this small gift will enhance their Mother’s Day celebration. Happy Mother’s Day on behalf of the staff at DiamondJacks.”

Providence house is a nonprofit organization located in Shreveport, LA since 1988. The organization provides transitional housing for families with children in Northwest Louisiana and long-term solutions to breaking the homeless cycle. Executive Director Verni Howard stated “I am incredibly thankful to DiamondJacks for hosting this event, and to the generosity of the Shreveport/ Bossier City community as a whole. We cannot do what we do without the help of others. We want to thank you for giving us the opportunity to honor these mothers who may be homeless, but are amazing women all the same.” Providence House has continued to grow over the years in response to the needs of homeless families and the greater community.
