Paul Hutchens of Lake Charles has been selected as the new Executive Vice President and General Manager of DiamondJacks Casino and Hotel in Bossier City. Hutchens brings more than 22 years of casino gaming experience and an enthusiasm for gaming, entertainment and hospitality to the Bossier City property.
Most recently he spent the past seven years as the Vice President and General Manager of the Isle of Capri Casino in Westlake. He was responsible for strategy development, operational management and team building at the 500-guestroom hotel and gaming entertainment complex.
He is thrilled to be a part of the DiamondJacks and Peninsula Pacific team. He hopes to focus on teamwork, cleanliness and friendliness in order to deliver a memorable entertainment experience for the guests. He enjoys working in the casino industry because it is so unpredictable. He claims, “In 22 years I have never had the same day twice. There is always something fun, exciting and interesting going on at the property.”
Hutchens earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, and his MBA from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. He has been married for seven years and has one son. He has served on several boards including the United Way, Chamber of Southwest Louisiana, and the Southwest Louisiana Convention & Visitors Bureau. He also volunteers his time for numerous charitable events and organizations. In his spare time, Paul enjoys running, cycling, fishing, kayaking, cooking, and trying to figure out the Saturday college football schedule in order to root for the Buckeyes and Tigers.
