BOSSIER CITY – Dorothy Laurent Maxwell, our treasured mother and Mimi passed away on April 19, 2014 at the age of 92. Dorothy was born in Shreveport , LA on November 9, 1921 to Stephen and Jeanne (LaVigne) Laurent. She was a very caring lady, always putting others first. She was devoted to her family and was so proud of each and everyone one them. She was married to Mack Buddy Maxwell, who passed away on January 19, 2004.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband and parents, a brother, Archie Laurent, sisters, Joyce Martin and Betty Petefish, and a daughter, Marilyn Maxwell Ford. She is survived by a son, Mack B. Maxwell, Jr. “Bud” and the mother of his children Karen Bartek Maxwell, a daughter, Martha Maxwell Rousset and the father of her children Pierre Rousset, grandchildren Stephen Rousset, Nicole Rousset Williams, Candice Maxwell Mayhall, Phillip Maxwell, Patrick Maxwell and Debbie Ford Been, thirteen great grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews.

 She was laid to rest at Hill Crest Memorial Park with the Very Rev. James E. Flowers, Jr., Rector of St. George’s Episcopal Church officiating.
