BOSSIER CITY – Graveside services to honor the life of Mr. Elmer M. Polk will be held at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, November 21, 2013, at Hill Crest Memorial Park. There will be a brief visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home.
Elmer was born on January 18, 1920, in Glenmora, LA to parents, Wyatt M. and Jessie Mae Polk, and passed away on November 17, 2013, at the age of 93 years.
Mr. Polk was preceded in death by his twin sister, Eloise McAdam; sister, Amelia Johnson; and his parents. He leaves behind two sons, Lynn Polk and wife Lynn, and Kenneth Polk; two sisters, Iris Martin and Doris Polk; two brothers, Ivan Polk, and Donald Polk and wife Francis; five grandchildren, Stephanie Wall, Kenneth Polk, Sheila Morris, Tammy Guice and Paula Polk, 11 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and very special friend, Kathy Roberts.
