Engagement: Skaggs-Valentine

Jill Meredith Skaggs of Bossier City and Joseph Allen Valentine of Blanchard are pleased to announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at St. Jude Catholic Church in Benton. Officiating the two o’clock ceremony is Very Rev. Rothell Price.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack M. Skaggs of Bossier City and the granddaughter of Mrs. Therese B. LaBry of Kaplan and the late Mr. E.J. LaBry of Lafayette; and the late Mr. and Mrs. Jack C. Skaggs of Bossier City.

The prospective groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George P. Valentine of Blanchard and the grandson of Mrs. Barbara L. Arnot of Keego Harbor, MI and the late Eli J. Arnot of Honolulu, HI; and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert H. Valentine of Blanchard.

Jill is a graduate of Airline High School and a cum laude graduate of Northwestern State University in Natchitoches. While attending college, she was a member of the Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority. She is currently employed as the marketing and events coordinator at Bossier Federal Credit Union.

Joseph is a graduate of Caddo Magnet High School and a summa cum laude graduate of Louisiana State University in Shreveport. He is currently employed as the district manager of Smashburger.

The couple will make their home in Bossier City.
