BENTON – Mr. Sellers passed away quietly on April 3, 2014. Mr. Sellers was born on January 6, 1932, in Doyline, LA to Ivey Crow Sellers and Ervin McCaril Sellers, Sr. He attended Benton Elementary and graduated from Benton High School and entering the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict, having honoarbly served four years. Mr. Sellers was preceded in death by his wife, Evalyn Porter Sellers. From a very young age “Mutt” was raised to work hard and was always unselfish, loyal and dedicated to his family having cared for his aged parents until there death. In continueing with that unselfish attitude “Mutt” donated his cancer ravaged body to science so that others may live and benefit from his illness. Mr. Sellers leaves to cherish his memory a host of friends. A special thanks to Ed and Jo-Ann Murtishaw for there friendship and wonderful care. There will be no formal service at Mr. Sellers request. While driving in Benton along Hwy 162 thru the tall pines I can assure you that “Mutt’s” spirit will be with you.
