UPDATE: FBI agent involved in Bossier City shooting

Update: Reports are a┬áDallas-Fort Worth area Amber Alert for a nine-year-old is at the center of a Bossier City hotel shootout involving the FBI. Caitlyn Williams was found by police at the Days Inn Motel in Bossier City with her uncle, Jessie Nicholas Williams, who was killed in an ensuing shootout with authorities. Federal and local law enforcement agencies are on the scene of a shooting involving an FBI agent at a Bossier City hotel.

Bossier City police, the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office, the U.S. Marshal’s Office and FBI agents responded to the Days Inn hotel, located in the 200 block of John Wesley Boulevard, around 2 p.m.

Two people were reportedly injured and taken to area hospitals by police escort. Their identities, conditions and roles in the shooting are unknown at this time.

Bossier City Police Chief Shane McWilliams reports that the FBI is handling the investigation, only saying it is an officer involved shooting.
