Fish fry raises $5,000 for deputy in need

The Bossier Sheriff’s Office Fish Fry Friday made a huge catch by selling more than 500 plates, netting nearly $5,000 that will go to the Goldston family.

The two-day fundraiser was put on to help raise funds for one of our own, Kim Goldston, kitchen supervisor at the Corrections facilities. Kim’s husband, Antonio, suffered major injuries in a car crash on Arthur Ray Teague Parkway back in September while taking his children to school, and he has not been able to work since then.

This fish fry was held to help defray some of their rising medical bills and a way deputies and staff of the Bossier Sheriff’s Office and the community to show their support.
