On Thursday, March 10, the community is invited to paint ceramic bowls to raise hunger awareness in North Louisiana. Bowls can be painted from 5: 00 -7:00 p.m. at the old Fat Daddy’s & Bowling Alley Space near Copeland’s at the Louisiana Boardwalk.

FoodBankNWLA LogoA $10 donation per bowl is requested. Complimentary refreshments will be provided. The bowls will later be used at the annual Food Bank’s annual EMPTY BOWLS Dinner/Silent Auction that will be held in June.

The Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana provides 9 million pounds of food annually to the children, women and men living in poverty, the homeless, elderly, disabled, unemployed and underemployed in Caddo, Bossier, Webster, Claiborne, Bienville, Red River, and De Soto Parishes. Each month 35,000 individuals receive food from the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana.
