HAUGHTON – Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Frank G. Carpenter, 63, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 30, 2013, at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home, and officiated by Pastor Larry Earhart. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening between the hours of 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Frank was born May 3, 1950, in Shreveport, LA and passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2013. He was a loving husband and awesome father and grandfather. Frank was always doing something; tinkering, whittling, working in the yard, or fishing. And as a dad, he was always teaching life lessons. In his own words, Frank was “A jack of all trades and master of none”.

Frank is survived by his wife of 34 years, Gloria J. Carpenter; sons, Justin Carpenter and wife Codi, Cliff “Bubba” Weems and wife Mary and Jeff Weems, Jr. and wife Mikah; sister, Linda Morgan and husband Floyd; brother, David Carpenter and wife Becky; grandchildren, Nathan Weems, Lane Weems, Lydia Carpenter and “one on the way”. Frank is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and loving friends. He was preceded in death by his baby daughter, Angela Lynn Carpenter; grandson, Wesley Weems; half-sister, Darlene McCoy; and his parents, Charles and Lillie Carpenter.

Honoring Frank as pallbearers are Justin Carpenter, Cliff Weems, Mike Thompson, Nick Thompson, Daniel Talley and Nathan Weems.
