Free band concert to be held Sept. 25 at BPCC

The BPCC Concert Winds will present its Fall Pops Concert at 7:30 pm on Friday, September 25 in the Performing Arts Theatre on the BPCC campus, 6220 East Texas St, Bossier City, LA.

The Concert Winds under the direction of Dr. Michael D. Hart will take the stage to perform a variety of popular band selections guaranteed to bring enjoyment to audiences of all ages.

The evening’s concert will include “Opening Night on Broadway” featuring selections from The Lion King, Avenue Q, The Producers, and Spamalot;  “Mancini!” featuring some of Henry Mancini’s most popular selections; “Highlights from Jersey Boys” featuring hits by Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons; and selections from Chicago: the Musical.  Additional light selections will also be included in the concert.

Many of the students enrolled in the ensembles are full-tuition music scholarship recipients.  Auditions for BPCC music scholarships are held periodically throughout the year.
