On Saturday, April 9, 2016, The Warrior Network, in partnership with the Northwest Louisiana Military Support Foundation, will host our first annual KidFest event.

This event will take place at the On the Red Event Center located at 2000 Reeves Marine Dr. Bossier City, LA 71112 from 10:00am-2:00pm. It is being done in celebration of the national Month of the Military Child, which is an effort each April to recognize children of military families.

Any military families of any branch are invited to attend this event. We will have everything from static displays including a Blackhawk helicopter to game booths provided by local churches and businesses, as well as inflatables, free food, a dunk tank, a petting zoo, candy, demonstrations, etc. Kids will be able to write thank you notes to deployed service members, meet Clawed the Mudbug, get their own (unofficial) military ID, see an Air Force Security Forces K-9 and EOD robot, and much, much more. There will be attractions for both preschool and school age children. Over 100 community volunteers will serve our military members at this event. Cosse & Silmon Orthodontics and Litton Mortgage will sponsor KidFest this year.

Food will be provided by Virginia College and Open Road Fellowship Church in Haughton. Several other local churches, organizations, and businesses are also partnering together to make this possible. Pre-registration for this event is not necessary, however, we will check Military IDs upon entrance to venue.

All information about the event can be found at www.thewarriornetwork.org/kidfest. Again, the event will take place this Saturday, April 9, 2016 at the On the Red Event Center next door to CenturyLink Center in South Bossier. As always, we are thankful for our military and we want to love and appreciation to them.
