Fundraising efforts continue for a local team of pastors affectionately known as the “Motorcycle Pastors”, Jerry and Tina Kennedy.

The Kennedy’s are both recovering from injuries sustained when an alleged drunk driver pulled out in front of their motorcycle on Memorial Day Weekend. Both Jerry and Tina were critically injured, but have been moved from Level I Trauma Care at University Health to inpatient rehabilitation and long-term acute care.
Jerry & Tina Kennedy are Pastors of the Radiant Thunder Motorcycle Ministry in Shreveport. They also Pastor Omertà Biker Church the first Sunday of each month the inside Life Tabernacle church on Meriwether Road. They’ve have dedicated their lives to ministering to the spiritual needs of men & women who ride motorcycles ~ from Bandidos to Ghosts & everyone in between ~ these Pastors have led the life Christ intended for all of us ~ Love God, love each other.
Both are doing better with Jerry even holding short video sermons from his hospital room and broadcast on social media.
“I’ve known Jerry and Tina for many years,” said Tony Nations, Pastor of Central Christian Church and a member of the pastoral staff at University Health in Shreveport. “Not only are they committed Christians, but they especially care about those bikers, and even more so, bikers who need the Lord in their lives,” he said.
“The response to the fundraisers has been amazing,” says Debra Kelly, co-organizer of many of the current and past fundraising events. “To be able to do something good for someone else is the way Christ meant for us to live our lives. ‘Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another’ – John 13:34-35. It’s right there in the Bible. That’s the mission of our message,” she said.
