Gallery: Dancing for the Cure 2016

Local media stars went head-to-head tonight in a dancing competition that raised funds for the North Louisiana Chapter of Susan G. Komen.

Like Dancing with the Stars, each participant learned a different style of dance and performed their routine for a crowd and panel of judges. Joining the media stars on the dance floor were alumni dancers from Vicki’s School of Dance in Bossier City.

Competitors this year include Domonique Benn, KSLA; Jacob Bradford , KSLA; Aubry Killion, KTBS; Rick Rowe, KTBS; Steve Bender, KTAL; Jacque Jovic, KTAL; Ali Aaron, Cumulus Radio; Brandon Beard, Cumulus Radio; Tiana Kennell. Shreveport Times; and Randy Brown, Bossier Press-Tribune.

And the winner is……….

Congratulations to KSLA’s Domonique Benn, winner of the pink mirror ball trophy and the people’s choice award!!

Four time Emmy-nominated anchor, Domonique Benn anchors KSLA News 12 at 5, 6, and 10 PM, Monday through Friday. Domonique has worked in newsrooms in Mississippi, Georgia, and Virginia.  The University of Florida graduate has a Bachelor of Science degree in Telecommunications-News and a minor in English with a concentration in African American Literature. Domonique and her family live in Bossier City. She  is very active in the Ark-LaTex and continues to share her life’s philosophy, “I am the master of my fate, I am the captain of my soul.”

Proceeds from the event will stay local to continue the work and mission set by the North Louisiana Chapter of Susan G. Komen.
