The Gardens of the American Rose Center will open for our 42nd blooming season on Apr. 1, 2016.

Hours of operation are Monday through Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Admission to the gardens is by donation. Peak rose bloom season is expected between mid-April and mid-May. Cart tours are available during the week by reservation. They should be made one-week in advance of the desired tour date. Cart tours are available for groups of five or more only. The fee is $10 per person. Our cart capacity is seven people per tour.

We are offering “It’s All About The Roses” Experience Tour! This very special tour will engage all your senses as you learn about the care, cultivation and history of the Queen of flowers – The Rose! The Experience Tour is $10 per person and will last an hour and a half. Reservations for at least 10 or more must be made a week in advance. The American Rose Society is a non-profit, educational organization working to promote the beauty and culture of the rose. Their headquarters home, the American Rose Center, features more than 70 individual gardens, with more than 20,000 rose bushes – this translates into more than 400 different types of roses in one place. The grounds also include various sculptures and water features, as well as a playground and picnic area. The Gardens of the American Rose Center, located at 8877 Jefferson Paige Road in Shreveport.
