Announcing the passing of George Wilbur Hicks on Monday, August 12th, 2013 at Willis-Knighton Hospital in Bossier City, LA.

Born in Bossier Parish, LA to Claude W. and Anne Huckaby Hicks on August 26th, 1939, he was a life-time resident of said parish. A graduate of Elm Grove High School where he shined on the basketball court, he was an avid outdoorsman, hunter and fisherman. He served his country as a Louisiana National Guardsman and was honorably discharged on Sept. 8th, 1964. Most of his career was spent as a professional draftsman.

He is survived by his sister, Carol Lyn Hoover and three children, Randy, Heather and Tony.

Private funeral services were held near his home on Lake Bistineau on Saturday, August 17th attended by all of his children.

He only shot big deer and only married beautiful women. He will be missed.
