Gerald Donald Mills

BOSSIER CITY – A Rosary will be held on November 21, 2013, Thursday, at 9:30 a.m. followed by a memorial mass at 10:00 a.m. to celebrate the life of Gerald (“Gerry”) Donald Mills, 74, at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Bossier City. Concelebrating the mass will be the Reverend Father Joseph Ampatt and Monsignor Carson LaCaze.

Gerry was born on September 9, 1939 in Brookhaven, MS to Wesley and Geneva Mills. Surrounded by his family, he went to be with his heavenly Father on November 18, 2013.

He was a longtime member of Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church where he faithfully served as a Lay Minister and choir member. Gerry was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. Gerry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He enjoyed helping his wife, Pat, bake cakes. He also enjoyed walking his favorite dog and constant companion, Mia, around the block.

Gerry was preceded in death by parents. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 32 years, Pat Landry Mills, daughter Jennifer Mills and fiancé David Roberts, sons, David Mills, Scott Mills and wife Stacey and Chris Mills and wife Sarah. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Adrien, Evy, Garrett, Ian, Mack and Makenzie.

The family would like to express appreciation to all their family and friends for their prayers and support during this difficult time.
