BOSSIER CITY – Graveside services for Gilberto Cantu, 92, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, June 22, 2013 at Hill Crest Memorial Cemetery, Haughton, LA. Officiating will be Rev. Joseph Ampatt, pastor of Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 21, 2013 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City, LA.

Gilberto was born April 11, 1921 in Abram, TX and passed away June 19, 2013 in Bossier City. He retired as a Tech Sgt. from the U.S. Air Force after 21 years of service. He was a veteran of World War II, the Korean War and Vietnam. A member of Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church, he was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Survivors are his wife, Mary Cantu; sons, David Cantu and wife Theresa, Steven Cantu; daughters, Diana Middleton and husband Dean, Yolanda Cessor; four grandchildren; brothers, Manuel, Sig, Alfredo and Johnny and sisters, Marie and Irene.

Honoring Gilberto as pallbearers will be Larry Bordelon, Ted Strozier, Junior Cantu, Karl Fortenberry and Joe Little. Honorary pallbearer will be Dean Middleton.
