The Bossier Lady Kats and Parkway Lady Panthers advanced to the championship game of the Green Oaks Thanksgiving Classic with semifinal victories Tuesday.
The Lady Kats downed Woodlawn 64-63 in a double overtime thriller, and the Lady Panthers slipped past Haynesville 35-32. Both teams are 3-1 with three-game winning streaks.
Destiny Thomas had a big game for Bossier, scoring 26 points. Chloe Walker added 12 points. Brittany Wallace grabbed 16 rebounds to go with five points.
Parkway’s statistics weren’t reported to The Press-Tribune.
Elsewhere, Plain Dealing defeated Airline 34-28 at Airline.
Tanisha Perry led the Lady Lions (2-0) with 14 points. Tia Lowe led Airline (1-2) with 11 points, including three 3-pointers.
Plain Dealing got off to a fast start and led 18-4 after the first quarter. The Lady Lions led 23-12 at the half and then extended it to 32-16 after three. The Lady Vikings rallied in the fourth quarter, outscoring Plain Dealing 9-2, but never got closer than six.
Benton improved to 4-1 with a 61-32 rout of Cedar Creek in the West Ouachita tournament.
Freshman Emily Ward led the Lady Tigers with 21 points, including four 3-pointers. Brandy Harris added 16 and LeLe Carper had 14.
