The Bossier Parish school system is shining bright!

Each month, a standout employee is selected from a pool of nominees – from teachers, para-professionals and secretaries to custodians, coordinators and cafeteria workers. Winners are chosen because they go above and beyond what their job entails, making them standouts amongst their peers.

Gold Star recipients for 2014-15 were honored one last time before the school year ends.  Those recognized were Becky Cranford, Jennifer Gulett, Mike Arrington, Perry Norcross, Chad Patterson, Kassie Richardson, Johnny “J.R.” Ruffin, Shandrick Tasby and Becky Reeves.

In the last three years, since the Gold Star program began, more than two-thousand nominations have been submitted. What a testament to the outstanding people that work for Bossier Schools.

We are so grateful to Bossier Federal Credit Union for embracing and sponsoring the Gold Star employee recognition program. Everyone appreciates a pat on the back for a job well done and BFCU makes our winners feel so special.

A big thanks also goes to the Bossier Press-Tribune for its commitment to shine the spotlight on our Gold Star winners by publishing the articles about them and their photos. We are so grateful to the newspaper for sharing with the community the stories of our educators and support staff that make us all Bossier Proud!
