Benton’s Noah McWilliams is tied for third, four shots off the lead, going into Sunday’s final round of the Louisiana Amateur Championship.
McWilliams, who led by one stroke after the second round, shot a 1-under 71 in the third round Saturday at Bayou Oaks at City Park in New Orleans. He is at 13 under for the tournament along with Baton Rouge’s Lawrence Allen.
Sulphur’s Landen East, a Southeastern Louisiana player, leads at 17 under after a third-round 66. Baton Rouge’s Connor Cassano, who shot a 67, is in second at 14 under.
Former Parkway player Chance Snell shot a 74 and is tied for 29th at 2 under.
Noah’s father Robby McWilliams shot a 75 and is tied for 31st at 1 under.
