Haughton dental surgeon appointed to state board

Gov. Bobby Jindal recently appointed Dr. Isaac “Ike” A. House, D.D.S. of Haughton, to the Louisiana State Board of Dentistry.

IsaacHouseDDSHe will fill the vacancy for the seventh Dental District.  Responsible for regulating, registering, examining, and licensing the practices of dentistry and dental hygiene, the Louisiana Board of Dentistry operates under the authority of the Department of Health and Hospitals, part of executive branch of La. government.

Dr. House has a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from LSU in Baton Rouge and received his doctorate of dental surgery in 1984 from LSU School of Dentistry in New Orleans. Operating a general family dental practice in Haughton since 1984, Dr. House is a member of the American Dental Association, the Louisiana Dental Association, and the Northwest Louisiana Dental Association of which he is a former president. In addition, Dr. House is a Master in the Academy of General Dentistry.
