The Haughton Fire Department has been named a 2025 grant recipient
by Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation®, receiving almost $31,000 to increase lifesaving capabilities
in Haughton. The grant was used to purchase a Paratech Highway Stabilization Kit and a Paratech
Remote Placement Airbag Kit for the department and will ensure our community is better prepared for
emergencies.

“We are grateful to the Foundation and our local Firehouse Subs® in Bossier City. for awarding us this
grant,” said Chief Nick Palmer, Deputy Chief, Haughton Fire Department. “The new vehicle stabilization
equipment will fulfill a critical need within our department and allow us to respond more efficiently to
motor vehicle accidents while also improving safety for our citizens and first responders.”
