For the first time since the 2009 season, the Haughton freshman football team did not finish the season undefeated.

But the Bucs still had a good year.

Haughton finished 6-3 with a 21-14 victory over Captain Shreve in its season finale Monday evening.

Josh Lister completed an outstanding season with three touchdowns.

He caught a 54-yard touchdown pass from Jonathan Plant, returned the opening kickoff of the second half for a touchdown and scored on a 60-yard run.

Nico Broadway was a perfect 3-for-3 on extra points.

Broadway was also a standout on defense along with Plant and McHale Warrener, coach Michael Marston said.

Undefeated Airline’s game against Southwood was cancelled. The Vikings will try to complete the perfect season Monday against Captain Shreve.
