A Haughton man was killed early Wednesday morning after crashing his motorcycle.
Louisiana State Police responded to a one-vehicle accident Jan. 1 at approximately 1:18 p.m. on Bellevue Road. LaByran J. Dotson, 30, was killed when his 2001 Honda motorcycle failed to negotiate a curve, crossed both lanes of travel and a ditch before striking a concrete culvert and ejecting Dotson.
As a result of the crash, Dotson suffered fatal injuries. He was wearing a DOT approved helmet.
Routine toxicology samples were obtained from the driver and will be submitted for analysis. The crash remains under investigation.
