Hannah Teutsch of Haughton won the title of Miss Bossier City 2016 Saturday, Jan. 16, at Captain Shreve High School in Shreveport. She will represent the city in the Miss Louisiana pageant this summer in Monroe.

Hannah is a 2014 graduate of Haughton High School and a sophomore at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches majoring in Social Work. She volunteers with Hub Urban Ministries and works with youngsters of poverty and homelessness.

During the pageant, she performed a lyrical rendition of “Amazing Grace” and “Broken Vessels” in the talent phase of competition.

Also crowned Saturday was Jo’ Hilliard of Baton Rouge. She won the title of Miss Louisiana Bayou 2016 and will compete this summer for the Miss Louisiana title.

Hilliard is a Nursing student at University of Louisiana at Monroe. During the pageant, she presented a vocal performance of “I Have Nothing.” Her platform targets teens and adolescence self-esteem issues.
Hannah and Jo’ both received scholarship certificates from Bossier Parish Community College and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
