SHREVEPORT – Hannah Teutsch, a senior at Haughton High School, was crowned Miss State Fair of Louisiana on Saturday, Oct. 19. Teutsch competed against 13 other Caddo and Bossier Parish high school seniors for the title and will compete at the Louisiana Association of Fairs and Festivals Queen of Queens Pageant in February of 2014.
Other winners in the Miss division were 1st Runner-Up, Shelby Anderson of Northwood High School, 2nd Runner-Up, Sarah Lawhorne of Airline High School, 3rd Runner-Up, Payton Curry of Haughton High School and 4th Runner-Up, Grace Delores of Louisiana New Tech at Plain Dealing.
Contestants in the Miss State Fair of Louisiana Pageant had to be nominated Seniors in Caddo or Bossier Parish High Schools. Contestants were judged on their interview (40%), on-stage introduction (10%), casual wear (20%) and evening wear (30%).
The Little and Deb Miss State Fair of Louisiana contestants competed in on-stage modeling in their Sunday best. Junior and Teen Miss State Fair of Louisiana contestants competed in evening gown modeling and on-stage introduction. Komora Ceasar was named Little Miss State Fair of Louisiana, Zoey Curtis named Deb Miss State Fair of Louisiana, Elizabeth Hunt named Junior Miss State Fair of Louisiana and Devin Armer, Teen Miss State Fair of Louisiana.
The Miss and Teen Queens will attend events throughout the State Fair, which runs through November 10.
