High school athletics: Three parish standouts commit to colleges

Three Bossier Parish high school athletes recently gave verbal commitments to colleges.

Airline softball player Paris Endris committed to Louisiana Tech. Airline baseball player Carson Carey committed to Northwestern State. Benton basketball player Riley Grace Stanford committed to Southern Arkansas.

Endris earned a spot on the Louisiana Softball Coaches Association Class 5A All-State team last season after helping the Lady Vikings reach the state championship game.

A first-team All-District 1-5A and All-Parish selection, she batted .517 with 11 home runs and 44 RBI. Endris is a catcher and infielder.

Carey was a first-team All-District 1-5A and All-Parish selection last season. He batted .250 with six doubles and 16 RBI. He was also 2-2 on the mound with a 2.15 ERA and 33 strikeouts.

Carey is ranked fourth among catchers in the state in the Class of 2022 by Prep Baseball Report.

Stanford helped Benton win the 2020 Class 5A state championship and finish runner-up last season. A guard, Stanford averaged 9.6 points last season.
