The Airline Vikings defeated Quitman 6-1 in a non-district game Friday at Airline.
Clayton Brandon led Airline at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a double. Matthew Scripture went 2-for-3 with a double.
Harrison Waxley had a double and drew three walks.
Evan Wendrock got the win. He allowed five hits in 6 2/3 innings with five strikeouts and two walks.
Airline (10-8) returns to District 1-5A play Saturday. The Vikings host Haughton at 1 p.m. in the second of their two-game series. The Bucs won the first game 14-8 Thursday at Haughton.
In another non-district game Friday, Bossier fell to Ringgold 20-10 at Bossier’s field at Rusheon.
