The Airline Vikings, Haughton Bucs and Bossier Bearkats won district games Tuesday,
In District 1-5A, Airline defeated Parkway 4-2 at Parkway and Haughton downed Evangel Christian 6-0 at Evangel. In District 1-4A, Bossier defeated Southwood 14-4 at Rusheon.
In a non-district game, Benton routed Grace Christian 15-0 at Benton.
At Parkway, Airline starter Silas Endris went 5 1/3 innings. He allowed four hits, struck out six and walked two. Drew Robinson allowed one hit with two strikeouts and two walks in 2 2/3 innings of relief.
Airline’s Leo Heng went 2-for-3 with three RBI. Endris also went 2-for-3.
After two scoreless innings, Airline scored three in the top of the third. Ayden Hawn singled after leadoff hitter Bo Carter reached on an error.
Another error loaded the bases. Marshall Beaver drew a walk, scoring the first run. Heng’s two-out single scored two runs.
The Vikings went up 4-0 in the top of the sixth on a single by Heng.
Parkway tried to rally. Colby Donaldson and Abel Thetford had back-to-back singles to lead off the sixth. Pinch runner Peyton Rayner scored on a double by Maddox Cockerham.
The Panthers loaded the bases with two outs. But Robinson induced a groundout to end the threat.
Dallas Loche homered with one out in the bottom of the seventh. Thetford drew a walk with two outs. Robinson then ended the game with a strikeout.
Starting pitcher Gabe Armond had a double. He allowed six hits and one earned run in six innings with six strikeouts and three walks.
Airline (16-9, 9-2) and Parkway (9-13, 4-7) are scheduled to complete the two-game set Thursday at Airline at 6.
At Evangel, Haughton starter Seth Jorstad allowed four hits with 11 strikeouts and two walks in 5 2/3 innings. Christian Turner went 2-for-4 with two doubles. Seth Breen drew three of the Bucs’ nine walks.
Haughton (21-5, 9-2) and Evangel (7-16, 0-11) are scheduled to complete the series Thursday at Haughton at 6.
At Rusheon, Bossier improved to 7-3 overall and 4-0 in district. The Bearkats are scheduled to play the Cowboys again Friday at Southwood at 4.
At Benton, nine Tigers combined for 11 hits in the four-inning game.
Colton Birdsong went 2-for-2 with a home run and three RBI. Mason Patterson went 2-for-3. Griffin Sibley had four RBI. Brody Turnipseed had two.
Tanner Webb pitched a one-hitter with eight strikeouts and no walks.
Benton improved to 25-2.
