The Benton Tigers defeated the North DeSoto Griffins 7-3 Friday at North DeSoto.
The game was part of the Northwood tournament.
Jackson Jones went 2-for-3 with three RBI. Cole Snell went 2-for-4 with a double.
Brody Turnipseed also had a double.
Starter Kade Bryant went five innings. He allowed two hits, struck out nine and walked two. Jax Prewitt allowed one hit and struck out six with no walks in the final two innings.
The Tigers scored six runs in the top of the second. Five came with two outs.
Mason Patterson, Case Jorden, Snell and Jones all had singles in the inning.
Benton is scheduled to host Glenbrook Saturday morning.
