The Bossier Bearkats slipped past the Haynesville Golden Tornado 16-15 on Monday at Bossier’s field at Rusheon Middle School.
The Bearkats overcame a slew of errors to improve to 4-5.
Coleman Beeson went 3-for-4 with two triples and two RBI. Jamaal Brooks had three RBI and Andre Green two.
Barrett Bussie got the win. He pitched the final three innings, allowing three hits and no earned runs.
The Bearkats tied the game at 13 with six runs in the fifth and then went ahead with three in the sixth.
The Tors scored two in the top of the seventh to get within one. They had the bases loaded with two outs, but third baseman Avery Williams caught a line drive to end the game.
