The Haughton Bucs and Benton Tigers posted victories Monday.
Haughton defeated Minden 8-1 at Haughton, and Benton downed Many 11-1 at Many.
Elsewhere, Airline fell to West Monroe 12-4 in a game played at Louisiana Tech.
At Haughton, the Bucs scored four run in the bottom of the first.
Starter Justin Adkison got the win. Ashton Neighbors and Landon Rolland threw 3 1/3 innings of scoreless relief.
Christian Turner went 2-for-3 with a home run, triple and two RBI. Seth Jorstad went 2-for-4. Seth Breen had two RBI.
Haughton (3-1) begins a three-game series against Sterlington Thursday at 4 p.m. at Haughton.
At Many, Cole Snell went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI. Kason Greer went 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Case Jorden and Hayden Millen had two hits each. Kade Bryant had a double.
Colton Birdsong went three innings for the win. He allowed one hit, struck out four and walked none.
Benton (5-0) visits Northwood Thursday.
At Louisiana Tech, Airline scored two in the top of the fourth to take a 4-2 lead. West Monroe tied it in the bottom of the inning then added two in the fifth and sixth in the fifth.
Airline’s Ayden Hawn went 3-for-4. Brock Jordan had a triple.
The Vikings (1-2) visits Ouachita Parish Thursday.
