High school baseball: Haughton blanks Doyline

A day after a tough district loss to Benton, the Haughton Bucs bounced back with a 13-0 victory over Doyline in five innings Wednesday at Haughton.

Landon Rolland and Trent McGowen combined for the shutout and nine strikeouts.

Drake Cooper went 2-for-2 with a double and three RBI. Rolland went 2-for-2 with two RBI. Maddox Williams went 2-for-3 with two RBI. 

Parker Presley had a triple. Jameson Voigt had a double.

Haughton (18-5) resumes District 1-5A play Thursday at Captain Shreve at 6.
