The Haughton Bucs picked up two non-district victories Friday at home.
Haughton defeated Lakeside 18-1 and Jena 13-6.
The Jena game was originally scheduled for Saturday but it was moved up a day because of the threat of rain and thunderstorms.
The Bucs pounded out 11 hits in the three-inning game against Lakeside.
Seth Jorstad had a home run, triple and three RBI. Maddox Williams went 2-for-3 with a triple and four RBI.
CT Woodard went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI. Aubrey Ramsey went 3-for-2 with two RBI. Seth Breen had a double and two RBI. Drake Cooper had two RBI.
Brady Bockhaus pitched 1 2/3 innings and Trey Moore pitched 1 1/3. Bockhaus gave up one hit. Moore didn’t allow a hit, struck out two and walked none.
Haughton had 10 hits against Jena. Carson Plant went 4-for-4 with a double and three RBI. Woodard had two doubles. Jorstad had a triple. Williams had three RBI.
Jorstad got the win. He allowed two hits, struck out five and walked none.
Haughton (17-12) hosts Huntington Tuesday at 6.
