The Parkway Panthers and Providence Classical Academy Knights posted victories Friday.
Parkway defeated Minden 4-3 at Minden and PCA defeated Doyline 16-1 in the Weston tournament.
At Minden, the Panthers scored two runs in the first and two in the second. The Crimson Tide cut the deficit to one with two in the fifth. They had runners at first and second with one out in the seventh but Carsen Barringer induced a lineout to end the game.
The Panthers had five hits. Dallas Loche, Colby Donaldson, Jax Thomson and Kirby Haskins had one RBI apiece.
Brylan Washington struck out seven in 5 1/3 innings. Barringer pitched 2 2/3 scoreless innings of relief.
Parkway (14-17) hosts Alexandria Monday at 6. Minden dropped to 20-11.
At the Weston tournament, Tanner Stinson had a double and two RBI in the four-inning game. Braden Willis had two RBI. Pitcher Benton Axton had a hit and walked twice.
Braden Willis pitched a no-hitter with three strikeouts and one walk.
PCA improved to 10-16. Doyline dropped to 8-14.
