The Airline boys and Plain Dealing girls picked up victories Wednesday.
The Vikings defeated Pineville 52-45 at Pineville. The Lady Lions defeated Byrd 60-24 at Plain Dealing.
Both games were makeups for ones that were postponed last week because of the threat of winter weather.
At Pineville, Jaydan Gladney led the Vikings with 20 points, including four 3-pointers. He also had seven rebounds.
Eli Washington scored 16. He also had five rebounds and four assists. Joshua White had eight points and four rebounds.
Chase Williams and Micheal Wilson had six assists each. Coach Cedric Washington cited Jarvis Davis Jr. for his defensive play.
Airline (8-11) opens District 1-5A play Friday at home against Byrd.
At Plain Dealing, Jakayla Douglas and Brianna Newton led the Lady Lions (9-10) with 27 and 24 points, respectively. Douglas scored 14 in the first quarter. Newton hit three 3-pointers and scored 14 in the third.
Janiya Douglas chipped in nine points.
It was the Lady Lions’ third game in as many days.
