High school basketball: Benton’s Chambers MVP on coaches’ All-State girls team; Benton’s Anderson, Bossier’s Bell, Parkway’s Williams also honored

Benton senior guard Qua Chambers Qua Chambers has been named the MVP on the Louisiana High School Basketball Coaches Association All-State girls basketball team.

Chambers averaged 20.1 points, 4.4 assists, 4.3 steals and 8.6 rebounds for the Lady Tigers, who won the Class 5A state championship and finished 29-5.

Chambers, who will continue her career at ULM, also made the MaxPreps.com Louisiana All-State first team.

Benton’s Jada Anderson was also named to the LHSBCA first team. She averaged 14 points, 3 assists, 3.7 steals and 2.7 rebounds.

Bossier senior forward D’Ante Bell made the boys first team. He averaged 11.9 points and 8.2 rebounds.

Parkway freshman guard Mikaylah Williams made the LHSBCA girls second team. She averaged 20 points, 9 rebonds and 3 steals.

She was also a third-team selection on the MaxPreps.com team.

LSU signee Jalen Cook of Walker was named the boys MVP.
