The Bossier Bearkats and Benton Tigers posted non-district boys basketball victories Thursday night.
Bossier defeated Ruston 53-43 at Bossier, and Benton edged Green Oaks 52-50 at Benton. In another non-district contest, Parkway fell to Woodlawn 63-36 at Woodlawn.
In a girls game, Benton routed Green Oaks 62-60.
Sophomore guard Jacoby Decker scored 15 points as the Bearkats improved to 11-3. Tybo Wimberly and Tyrese English added eight each.
Ruston, which had a seven-game winning streak snapped, dropped to 7-3.
Jessie Little pumped in 17 points to lead Benton (3-6) to the victory. Jalen Harding added 11. Cameron Robinson scored eight and Jontavious Johnson seven.
The Tigers scored the winning basket with 11 seconds left.
At Woodlawn, the Knights avenged a 60-50 loss to the Panthers in the finals of the Barksdale Federal Credit Union Parkway Tournament on Saturday. Woodlawn improved to 12-2. Parkway dropped to 7-2.
Emily Ward poured in 26 points in the Benton Lady Tigers’ victory. Qua Chambers chipped in with 13.
Benton improved to 7-7.
