The Bossier Lady Kats Invitational and Haughton Jack Clayton Invitational high school basketball tournaments start Wednesday.
The 10-team girls only Lady Kats Invitational isn’t a bracket tournament. Teams will generally play three games over four days.
Other teams in the field are Richwood, Huntington, Peabody, West Monroe, Plain Dealing, Parkway, Booker T. Washington, Southwood, Green Oaks and Fair Park.
Plain Dealing and Parkway face off at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday. Bossier opens play against West Monroe on Thursday at 5:30. The Lady Kats face Southwood at 7:30 Friday and BTW at 3:45 Saturday.
The Jack Clayton Invitational features eight boys and eight girls team. It is a bracket tournament with the finals set for Saturday afternoon. Some games will be played at BPCC, but the championship games will be at Haughton.
Parkway and Benton are in the boys field along with Haughton, Calvary Baptist, North DeSoto, Lakeside, Minden and Byrd.
Haughton faces Calvary Baptist at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the first round.
Benton takes on Lakeside at 4, and Parkway plays North DeSoto at 5:30.
Defending champion Byrd opens at 5:30 Thursday against Minden.
Haughton is the lone Bossier Parish team in the girls division. Other teams are Lakeside, North DeSoto, Northwood, Minden, West Ouachita, Ruston and Captain Shreve.
Haughton faces Lakeside at 7 p.m. Thursday in the first round. Defending champion Minden plays West Ouachita at 5:30 Thursday.
