High school bowling: Airline, Haughton, Benton, Bossier pick up victories

Airline, Haughton, Benton and Bossier won matches Thursday at Holiday Lanes.

In boys matches, Airline defeated Minden 27-0, Haughton defeated Byrd 23-4 and Benton downed Parkway 26-1.

In girls matches, Airline defeated Loyola 22-5 and Bossier defeated Parkway 23.5-3.5.

Both Airline teams remained undefeated. The Lady Vikings improved to 6-0 and the Vikings to 5-0.

Gage Moore led the Airline boys with a 556 series, including a 213 high game. Chris Kouba bowled a high game of 185 and Max Mendones had a 182.

Haughton’s Austin Patton bowled a 607 series, including a 233 high game, the best of all bowlers on the day. Jakeb Cilluffo and Dee Howard had high games of 184 and 183, respectively.

Zach Roden paced Benton with a 514 series and 214 game. Ben Miller bowled a high game of 193 and Jacob Gafnea had a 181.

Parkway’s Zach Posey bowled a 429 series, including a 167 game. TJ Robinson bowled a 140 high game.

Captain Shreve’s Jaylon Jackson had the day’s best series with a 616 in a 26-1 victory over Loyola.

Paris Mendones led the Airline girls with a high game of 225, the second-best of the day. That was part of a 598 series. LaBresha Lars bowled a high game of 190, and Jayda Ellison had a 169.

Breanna Lewis had Bossier’s high series of 359. Mackenzy Metts had the team’s high game of 152. Karlie Jackson had a 135 high game and Lewis bowled a 132.

Bailee Elliott led Parkway with a 323 series and 131 high game.
